An "Arkose" contains mostly angular fragments of minerals due to the fac t there was little transportation from the source area. This specimen comes from the Big Belt Mountains of Montana. Weight is 300 g (10.6 oz), and it come with a mineral stand. Cut with one side polished....you can view what it looks like in the "field" on the rough side of it.
